Stay Tuned

"For who? For what?" No, this isn't Ricky Watters after the Philadelphia Eagles lost to the Bucs in '95. It was me, after the latest episode of "but, Life's Not Fair!" In that episode, I learned that despite being about 40 days from going home, I am being reassigned to the IZ!

Apparently, my superhuman bitterness has not prevented people from thinking highly of me because I was supposedly requested by name. Go ahead and laugh - I did. You might ask what I'll be doing, or why they chose me so close to redeployment, or if this means I will get extended. You might even say "What could you possible get accomplished in 30-40 days?" I said all of those things and got the Army's equivalent of "because I said so" in return.

So stay tuned for the next episode of "but, Life's Not Fair!", where maybe some of these questions will get answered!

The IZ, eh? I could see being re-assigned to Kuwait, but this place isn't bringing you any closer to the freedom bird outta here. Not to worry. I can show you all the landmarks that are interesting for about 3 seconds. At least your surliness will be in good company with myself.

Hey Jason,

As we were told don't fall in love with your job, you'll be changing 2-3 times during your tour. You got unlucky and got jerked around on the back end, I got jerked around enroute from Kuwait to Iraq.

When's the garage sale?

BTW-Whose gonna be the new poster child for the Uncle Doug??

The Colonel

Remember, no drinking while armed.....

xo said no drinking while armed...it's funny, I only got intoxicated once while being in the Army...17 years later, as a civilian I find myself drinking more...stay green...stay in the Army and stay stress free...

LT - my countdown is still on for the freedom bird!

Huggins - roger that

Sir - I never fell in love with my job, so I am ok with this as long as they don't extend me!

Carrie - thanks!

xo - I'll do my best to remember that one.

huggs - I don't know where to start on that one. Stay green and stay stress free? So, by deploying every other year I will be stress free? I think I'll take my chances as a civilian, but thanks for stopping by!

If I were in Iraq, I would be drinking heavily. I hope all of you get to go home soon.
